Just read a very interesting post on how to use discernment to see through an established channel/prophet/speaker of Truth or whatever you encounter. In this particular post, the target was Dr. Stephen Greer, but who specifically is being assessed is immaterial. All intel and information seen/read/heard should be assessed using discernment, mainly because it is often difficult or impossible to ascertain the truth with incontrovertible facts. So many of the New Age type of information is by its very nature unprovable. You either believe or you don’t. It either resonates as truth or it doesn’t. What’s scary is when our real world things like the media start telling lies and provide seeming “proof” for them. This is where understanding propaganda becomes a necessity.

This article “Know Your Propaganda – “False Dilemma” – What is It?” and the corollary one “Know Your Propaganda – ‘Arguing from Ignorance’ – What is it and where have we seen it?” by the same author, goes into more details about methods used to persuade people to a particular narrative. I think it is salient to outline these methods in this day and age of so much “fake news”.

  • FALSE DILEMMA
(Also known as: false dichotomy*, the either-or fallacy, either-or reasoning, fallacy of false choice, fallacy of false alternatives, black-and-white thinking, the fallacy of exhaustive hypotheses, bifurcation, excluded middle, no middle ground, polarization)
Description: When only two choices are presented yet more exist, or a spectrum of possible choices exists between two extremes. False dilemmas are usually characterized by “either this or that” language, but can also be characterized by omissions of choices. Another variety is the false trilemma, which is when three choices are presented when more exist.
  • ARGUMENT FROM IGNORANCE
(also known as: appeal to ignorance, absence of evidence, argument from personal astonishment, argument from Incredulity)
Description:  The assumption of a conclusion or fact based primarily on lack of evidence to the contrary.  Usually best described by, “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.”
Logical Form:X is true because you cannot prove that X is false.
X is false because you cannot prove that X is true.

These two are discussed at length in each of the above noted posts.

Then there were other techniques that were noted in the original post about Steven Greer…that he uses

the propagandistic tactic of assertion. This tactic is defined as repeating a statement over and over in substitution for proof of that statement. Instead of proving a point, a propagandist will repeat their point using different verbiage each time. They do this in the hopes that the audience will eventually believe them due to the repetition.

I guess Steven Greer’s talks and interviews are famous for this one. Where else have we seen this recently? Oh yeah…the zombies in the crazy left wing riots! Greer also seems to use some hypnotic techniques:

Another key technique is the hypnotic patter or cadence that a hypnotist will use. This is essentially speaking in a very even and measured tone, using short rhythmic phrases and perhaps timing these phrases with the subject’s breathing.

The author admits that this might be inadvertent, and just a function of his own speech patterns.

This is not to declare that Greer is deliberately hypnotizing his audience members, but simply to make the statement that his speech pattern has similar characteristics to these hypnotic techniques. Again, judge for yourselves.

But the author does point out that

the real power happens when you engage the emotions. Anything that shifts emotional state tends to create absorption.

And what Greer does is present a really nice, positive message that people want to hear instead of all the negative, fearful messages they are so surrounded by in everyday life. “No, there are no negative ETs – all ETs are benevolent”.

Personally, I think this basic premise of his is faulty too, and this young guy says it well in the video below. As the author says, this guy is a great introduction for those who are maybe new to some of this New Age stuff, and I found him intelligent and well spoken. His video on what he feels is wrong with Stephen Greer’s message feels spot on to me.

I am inclined to believe the same thing about Greer perhaps being guided by the Cabal in the “intel” he’s gathering. I did not know that he had met with John Podesta a number of years ago, and Greer was impressed by the man. (!?!?!) I’m sure he didn’t know he was a pedophile, but still…he can’t be empathic at all if he can’t tell there’s something creepy about Podesta!!! Even the artwork on his office walls were creepy, with cannibalistic overtones!!!

I also did not realize that Greer often gets his information from packages left on his doorstep. Well…that’s vetting his intel! NOT! I know that David Wilcock has purposely held back from disclosing certain information so that he could vet new whistleblowers by seeing if their statements match other people’s information. If you can’t vouch for your intel, then who knows where it’s coming from and whether it is the truth! I myself do not like Stephen Greer for some reason, and do not watch his stuff. I’m thinking my Higher Self or guides or whoever have steered me away from this bad source of information.

Not that I think he’s a bad man or doing anything wrong knowingly, but I think his info is coming from the False Light. It would actually make sense that the Cabal would use him to get to the people who are staying away from the standard means of fear mongering control. Who don’t watch TV and are more geared to positive Light sources. Yes…make them believe that all ETs are benevolent so that when the Reptilians are exposed, we will go easy on them. 😦 The idea that he was excited to meet John Podesta doesn’t sit well with me though, so his discernment is definitely called into question! I know Podesta was for Disclosure, but that still doesn’t change his basic character! And his emails with Edgar Mitchell could be construed as Mitchell having to remind Podesta that a nuclear war with Russia would not be tolerated by the ETs. We know that Hillary was headed in that direction!

So…we need to make ourselves familiar with propaganda tricks so we can have better discernment in any intel we get from any source. I am going to try to remember these points whenever I come across something that doesn’t resonate so well. It’s good to have valid reasons for “feeling” a certain way. 🙂
